The money was raised via a series of Yoga classes held in the summer at St Martin with St Peter’s Church Hall, London Road. Such classes will be held each year for anyone who wishes to keep their practice going, or who simply wishes to experience Yoga. Youth Charity was an important aspect in determining where to make the donation, and Worcester Roots were decided as where the funds would be most useful.
Mari Singleton, one of the yoga teachers, provided the cheque to Worcester Roots on 1st of November, stopping by to pose for a picture with a couple of our volunteers Rhys Astbury Jones and Jamie- Rae Tanner and so we could offer our thanks.
The money will be used to progress some of our current environmental campaigns in need of support. Though we as a charity fight for ecological and societal issues throughout the year – donations such as the one we’ve received help us in conveying our messages to a wider audience and enable us to be more active in support of the community we wish to help.
Everyone at Worcester Roots would like to express their extreme gratitude to the Yoga Teachers that provided such a gift. The contribution will help our charity proceed further with our beliefs and efforts.
