Volunteers are joining many others at Top Barn Activity Centre in Holt Hearth Worcester on Saturday 1st September, in an effort to try and set a new world record for most people firewalking at one event.
Roots are involved to help raise money for environmental causes in the coming months. If anyone is interested to sponsor us please text ROOT11 to 70070, plus the amount you wish to give. Via Just Giving - we will then have your support!
Any sponsorship to Roots will go towards helping young people involved with the charity and the Worcestershire area, with an emphasis on green campaigns.
The Firewalk attempt is part of a family fun day from 2pm-8pm and includes many activities such as wall climbing, human football, treeless ropes course, fayre stalls, and food and drink. It is hosted by The Joanna Brown Trust, a local charity aimed at encouraging involvement in sport.
We recommend anyone interested in the event to come on down and help support a good cause whilst having a great day out!
Tickets for participation in the firewalk are £25 and entrants must be over 14 years of age. For more information regarding the fun day and firewalk please visithttp://www.thejoannabrowntrust.org/
