Myself, Tash, Emma and Jack arrived at the Fold a little later than normal and we found a Harry waiting in, or should I say napping in the porter cabin. We had a cup of tea and a rather disappointing Tesco Jam doughnut provided by Jack and cracked on with work. Harry and Jack went off and helped Emma collect some tyres that a kind fellow donated to us while Maria and I cleared all the leaves and sticks from under the bridge and dug out the pond, we do tend to get the dirty jobs but Maria was soon in there and as happy as pig in, well, you know.
Well if a star ever struck my eye I could see our dear Rich heading down towards us, he was late mind you, but he soon grabbed a rake and got stuck in. We had a good old chat on what we are going to dress up as at the nature trail opening. You'll have to wait to hear mine dears, its a surprise! Meanwhile, in a poly tunnel far far away there was a Tash working away on her wood. She was sanding down a large flat piece of wood that we hope to use as a sign at the entrance of the trail. About 12.30 we stopped for our lunch, well the rest of the group did anyway, with my aching chest I knew if I sat down I wouldn't want to do any more work, so I carried on working on the sculpture I designed. It will hopefully be a water feature next to our pond and bridge.
The others soon returned from lunch and we all regrouped and headed down near the board walk to place down some more tyre steps. Me and Harry went off to grab some cutters but I thought to myself it's been a while since I'd had a cupper so Harry kindly made us one and then went and gave Tash a hand on her wood while I chilled on the back of a Lawnmower.
Well I usually work hard so I thought why not let the rest of the lazy Vivian’s do a bit. But enough of that, it was time to head home and as Rich gave Harry and Jack a lift home, Myself and the big noises ( Tash and Emma) decided to get our moneys worth and use our return bus tickets, which didn’t go to well, we missed the bus and had to sit around on the road side for an hour in the wind and rain thinking we'd never see civilisation again, well, until Rich came back and picked us up. A delightful end to a delightful day and same again next week no doubt but until then au revoir dears.
