The last twelve months our volunteers have made some great progress along the trail. With the first part of the path completed, with just a little tidying to be done, we are now working on the tyre steps on the second part of the track. A big thank you to Chris, Tash's dad, who has finished the first raised board walk and almost finished with the second one.
We have had a few new additions to the Trail this year including some new sculptures such as Pot man, Bambee and a water feature but not to forget our Humble little meeting area 'the Camp' on top of the big hump.
Last week was our last day on the nature trail for this year and how better to spend it than a BBQ for our lunch. We were also fortunate enough to be joined by a newbie, Heidi who is a Roots volunteer and the wonderful lady who is planning the nature trail opening party in April, she very kindly supplied the food and Jack was our chef for the day, the rest of us continued working on the tyre steps until it was ready. It was well worth the wait!
After a day of hard work and good food we packed up and said goodbye to the nature trail until the new year. A special thank you to all the students at the Heart of Worcestershire college, Regency high school and the university for all there help, to all our wonderful volunteers who come on a Friday and of course to Emma for all her hard work on keeping the project going.
Until 2016, Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
