Hello Dears, how are we today? Here I am with another tale from the trail, this week there was only myself and Emma, just the two of us – people might start to get ideas. Anyway, you'll never guess what we found by our camp, this rusty old thing swinging by a tree, and no it wasn’t our Maria. After further investigation, we discovered it was an old railway lantern, how exciting. I think that had to be the highlight of the day. We're not sure who found it, and put it there but thank you, I think that can be added to our collection of historic finds.
We were tickled pink by the lantern, but we had more important things to deal with first, making a cup of tea. Well I'm not lifting a finger until I've had my kick.
Our big job today, was too carry on going up the trail and to pull up all the nettles and sticky willies - behave yourselves. There were a lot of stings and a lot of sniffles, but there's no job too much for the Dynamic Duo. We cracked on for a couple of hours then took everything we had pulled up, over to the compost piles on the care farm.
After Lunch, we attempted to head down to the boggy area and clear out all the bits, just to spice the day up a little, but as we arrived there with our wellies and a sieve, most of the water had dried up and there was just mud left, so it was back to picking out those flaming nettles. Three guesses what we are going to be doing next time. Until then dears, goodnight.
