The team arrived on a beautiful spring day, with the sun shining and a busy day ahead of us!
We worked in groups for each task and swapped around so that everyone was a part of the projects. The first task was to put tire steps on the steepest part of the hill, this involved alot of digging and filling the dirt into the tires to make them safe for people to walk on.
The other task was to prepare a firm foundation to construct the bridge on a boggy area. This involved digging and removing large pieces of rock which had been part of a base for a railway line in the distant past! The other group helped in removing past metal from the line.
Everyone worked really hard today and we managed to solve alot of obstructions and progress well with the nature trail.
We also celebrated a couple of birthdays around our new constructed nature camp. It was a very enjoyable and satisfying day.
