Today I brought a washing up bowl with me, I gave Jack, Tash and Emma the chance to guess what it was for, if they guessed correctly I'd give them a fiver (They should be so lucky). Emma made a funny, “Are you going bowling” she asked. One was not amused I can tell you. Anyway, none of them guessed correctly, it was actually for my water feature, it would act as a mini pond. As my bowl fills up with rain water, it will over flow and run down my shoot and into the pond.
Due to all this horrid rain and with us going up and down with heavy wheelbarrows, the Tyre steps had started to become rather treacherous, so a big job for us today was to fill them in and make them a bit more secure. I got started on that while the others collected pieces of wood lying around the track, then Jack came to give me a hand. He finished off while I went to rest my aching back by the shed. Although it was a miserable day, we did manage to get a few odd jobs done and have a good tidy around the trail, Thankfully, we started to pack up before the rain started again and we headed home smelling like a bunch of wet dogs. I was in desperate need for a shower after that one.
